Green Lands- Magnimasso
Green Lands is a program that involves four basic aspects for self-sufficiency in rural areas. The process of implementation will be pedagogic, ecologic, and focus on collective needs and the glocal landscape. Searching for common health and wealth, landscape biodiversity, and resilient capacity towards climate catastrophes, and local economies.
Magnimasso counts with 5.221 habitants + 3.277 habitants from the surrounding villages. The school of Magnimasso: The first part was built in 1994, 3 classrooms and 1 office. At the school there are around 250 children. The closest access to water is at 1km & the closest access to a health center is 7km. The land to built the health center is next to the school, counts with 60 000 m2 and has been donnate it.
1) Water. Securing access to water through the construction of a well and guidelines for its management.
2) Restoration Camp. Integrating ecological development, agroecological knowledge, and food security in the frame of the Great Green Wall project.
3) Health. The construction of a Health Center.
4) Co-pedagogy.
